We run several events throughout the year that are open to the public. We invite all community members to come and take advantage of our plant sales , tour, and ceremony.
Spring Plant Sales

(the day before Mothers' Day!)
Fall Plant Sales

9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Held at Thornhill Community Centre in the north west corner of the parking lot. Everyone is welcome to come purchase plants for their garden. We will have a rummage sale table as well.

Annual Garden Tour
(currently no dates planned)
Some years we plan our summer highlight: a self-guided tour of beautiful Thornhill gardens. There are typically 12 gardens on the tour.
When we next host a tour, Tickets will be available for purchase.
Tickets must be purchased in advance when tours take place.
Poppy Ceremony

Pay your respects to the men and women who have served and continue to serve to ensure our freedom.
Youth Scholarship
There are opportunities to apply for a scholarship. These are awarded to Thornhill students enrolled in full time post-secondary studies related to Horticulture and/or Environmental Sciences.
Deadline for applications is August 1st annually. 2026 is closed.
Community Service Volunteer Hours
We have many opportunities for high school students to volunteer as they gain their required community service hours:

You'll be surprised how quickly you can accumulate your 40 hours and learn some new skills too!
